Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Deaf-Blind Well-Being Program

Provides confidential and free mental health support and therapy to deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind BC residents of all ages. Services include individual counselling, group therapy, consultations, community education, peer support, and family support. Specialized mental health interpreting is available for clients attending therapy sessions, meeting with support workers, psychiatric assessments, and mental health team meetings. Support workers provide life skills development, advocacy, case management, community liaison, and supportive counselling both one-to-one and in group settings. Referral accepted by self or other. Serves BC. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Wednesday to Friday; drop in hours are 1 pm to 3 pm Wednesdays. Staff are out in the community Mondays and Tuesdays.
