DiscoverY - Surrey/White Rock

A free short-term counselling program for youth and young adults ages 13 to 25 who are ineligible for other funded services in the community. Counsellors provide eight counselling sessions and can help clients to improve mood and anxiety, learn basic stress management techniques and coping strategies, build resilience, develop healthy communication skills and boundaries in relationships, navigate the transition into adulthood, improve self-esteem and learn assertiveness skills, and understand and explore gender identity and sexual orientation. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves Delta, Langley, Surrey, and White Rock. Intake hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; evening and weekend appointments are available.
