Service Description

Provides 37 units of time-limited, subsidized transitional housing and services for women (cisgender and transgender) and non-binary and Two Spirit individuals with or without children who have been impacted by violence or abuse, substance use, or other issues that make it hard for them to maintain stable housing. Program provides support and information in areas such as life skills, recovery, tenancy readiness, health and well-being, advocacy, referrals, and budgeting; residents must participate in the program, including attending meetings and working towards their goals. Participants may also attend support groups run at Rose Harbour for residents and women in the community. Maximum stay is two years. Also offers 19 units of long term, subsidized housing for vulnerable women ages 55 and over. A risk assessment determines applicant priority for the program. Personal ID is required. Wheelchair accessible. Pets are allowed. Applications are available online or from the office. Office hours 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by BC Housing.
