Service Description

STEPS to Brighter Futures offers wraparound support for self-identifying females ages 15 to 29 who want to move forward from personal challenges like homelessness, conflict with the law, and/or substance use. The program helps participants address barriers, build resilience, and explore opportunities in employment, education, and training. Provides one-to-one supports, guest speakers, empowerment activities, and paid practicums. Participants must reside in the Lower Mainland and be legally entitled to work in Canada, but not currently employed, in school, or in training. The email address is steps@elizabethfry.com. Woolwerx is a social enterprise artisanal wool studio that provides training and employment to marginalized women in the Lower Mainland. Women receive training to clean, card, and spin donated wool into artisanal yarns. Employees are provided with full training and fair wage employment.
