Service Description

YWCA Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants helps skilled immigrants achieve progress towards employment in regulated or non-regulated professions. Program includes one-to-one career planning and coaching; employment workshops; networking opportunities; referrals to employers, mentors, and regulators; support including financial help to pay for re-credentialing or licenses, credential evaluation, exams, childcare, and transit; work placement, and post-employment support. Delivery is online and in-person. Eligibility criteria apply; see website for details. Serves residents of Bowen Island, Lions Bay, North Vancouver, Pemberton, Squamish, Sunshine Coast, West Vancouver, and Whistler. Funded by Immigration, Refgees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR).
