Employment Support Settlement Counselling for People with Disabilities

Service Description

Provides free employment support and settlement counselling to newcomers with disabilities, assisting them in overcoming barriers and challenges as they enter the Canadian labor market. Also assists with settlement-related issues, allowing for better integration so that clients can focus on their job search. Services include help with finding and maintaining employment; career exploration and personal development; resume and cover letter writing; interview preparation; and access to assistive technology/devices. Serves newcomers who have a self-declared disability and who are permanent residents of Canada; individuals who have been selected to become permanent residents; refugees and refugee claimants; or temporary foreign workers (work permit holders). Support services include child minding and transportation costs. Service is available in Arabic, Dari, English, Farsi, Hindi, Pashto, Punjabi, and Urdu. Program hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
