English Language Centre

Offers free, government-sponsored Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) for newcomers to Canada, age 17 or older, who are approved for permanent residence. Classes ranging from literacy to advanced level are available mornings, afternoons, or evenings with childcare available during morning classes. Placement of new students is determined by testing administered by the Western ESL Services' LINC Assessment and Referral Centre. Also offers a variety of low-cost English language classes throughout the year; classes are for permanent residents, citizens, temporary residents, and visitors. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm and 5:30 pm to 9 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8:30 am to 4 pm Tuesdays, and 8:30 am to 3 pm Fridays.
