Falls Prevention Clinic

Offers falls risk assessment, comprehensive geriatric assessment, and individualized recommendations for falls prevention to adults ages 65 and over. Eligible individuals are residents of Vancouver (including assisted living facilities); have had at least one fall in the previous 12 months; have not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or any progressive neurological conditions; and are able to walk at least 10 metres (with or without an assistive device). Service is provided in English; interpreter services are available. Referral is required from a family physician; a referral form is available online. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
