Service Description

Supports the healthy development of families through drop-ins, parent education workshops, support services, and other family-centred programs. A Family Support Worker provides one-on-one support and referrals to parents who are facing life challenges; offered on a drop-in or appointment basis. Parent education programs include Mother Goose and Nobody's Perfect; Mother Goose is for parents with children from birth to age one and involves singing and playing. Nobody's Perfect workshops are for parents with children from birth to five years of age, and focus on the child's social and individual development. Provides individual counselling (for teens, adults, and seniors) and art therapy (for all age groups) by appointment. Also offers a Single Moms' Support Group from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesdays, and a Fathers' Group from 6 pm to 7:30 pm Fridays; childminding is available.
