Service Description

Family Social Work delivers intervention designed to prevent child out-of-home placement, assist families in reunification following out-of-home placement, and reduce the risk for child maltreatment by assisting families to change behaviours and increase their skills. Also implements and maintains intervention strategies to facilitate success. Parent Support provides support to parents and families to enhance capacities in parenting and foster optimal child development; services are provided mainly through home visitation. Family Visitation Supervision and Support provides visitation and access services for families with children in care, including child-parent interaction and parenting skills. All services are open referral. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
