Voluntary program whereby a one-to-one worker provides support to Indigenous families experiencing life challenges. Assists families in creating or increasing natural and extended family supports in the community and developing specific strategies in dealing with family challenges. Supports the Indigenous cultural and spiritual beliefs and value systems of families and empowers them to effectively meet their needs. Accepts self-referrals. Serves Burnaby, New Westminster, and Tri-Cities. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
