Service Description

Provide services to investigate and monitor foodborne illness in BC, including laboratory testing of food and clinical samples, and tracking and disease surveillance at a population level. Also provides policy and scientific advice to local health authorities and to the public; develops guidelines and food safety information that are used as a basis for programs administered by the health authorities. Develops public information material about food safety.
