Service Description

Provides safety training to workers who handle food with the goal of preventing food-borne illnesses and workplace injuries. FOODSAFE Level 1 courses are mainly intended for front line food service workers. Level 2 courses are for owners, managers, and executive chefs who have already taken Level 1. In addition, the MarketSafe course is intended for those who sell their products at markets and farm gate, For Level 1 courses, workbooks are available in English and French as well as Arabic, Chinese, Korean, and Punjabi. In-person Level 1 exams are available in English, French, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. Courses can be taken online, by correspondence or in a classroom. Fees vary depending on course location; see website for a list of regional contacts.
