Service Description

Promotes healthy eating and active living for persons living with mental health issues while increasing food security for themselves and the community. Provides rehabilitation, skills development including life skills training, and vocational training for participants, while providing volunteer opportunities for members of the community. Healthy Living workshops include sessions on gardening, nutrition, cooking, food preservation, building, crafts, mechanics, pre-employment skills, and life skills; sessions take place in a greenhouse, vegetable garden, and kitchen classroom. Program hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
