Grief Support Groups

Offers support groups for the bereaved. Suicide Grief Support Group is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide; offered four times per year in partnership with the crisis centre in Vancouver, and a funeral home in Surrey. Homicide Grief Support Group is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to homicide; offered once a year. Toxic Drug Poisoning Support Group is a support group for people who have lost a loved one due to substance use; offered annually in Kamloops. Pet Loss Support Group is an online support group for people who have lost a pet. Groups are co-facilitated and run for eight weeks. Provides a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment to share stories and insights. Online groups are provincewide. Also provides bereavement survival tools, practical support, and information and referrals. Fees may be charged; subsidies may be available. Preregistration is required. Office hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
