Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) - Richmond

Lends a variety of health equipment to eligible individuals experiencing illness, injury, or mobility issues. Short Term Health Equipment Loan Program provides aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, bath seats and benches, commodes and toilet seats, crutches and canes, bed handles, and other medical equipment. Does not provide scooters, electric wheelchairs, or tilt wheelchairs. Health Equipment Loan - Plus program provides a range of advanced equipment, such as hospital beds, specialty mattresses, and patient lifts; delivery and installation services are available in some locations. A referral from a Health Authority occupational therapist is required for all services; clients can contact their local home health unit for an assessment. Office hours are 9 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Friday; 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
