Service Description
Offers educational and intervention programs about HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C to immigrants, refugees, and refugee claimants. PICS HIV/AIDS Awareness Project provides education and information about HIV/AIDS and sexual health to youth, including young parents. Offered in partnership with other community organizations. The PICS HIV and Hepatitis C Intervention Project for immigrants and refugees provides referral and access to healthcare, HIV/HCV information and education, peer networking, follow-up care, coping skills, and support. Holds workshops on a monthly basis in Surrey and Vancouver. Offers free HIV/HCV testing to workshop participants. Offered in partnership with SUCCESS. Funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
