Healthy Care Pregnancy Program (HCPP)
Service Description
Provides support services for pregnant, postpartum, and newly parenting people, up to seven months postpartum, who use or have used substances. Focus on participants who are not already accessing services and who are experiencing risks to their health and well-being, including unstable housing, food insecurity, lack of prenatal care, poverty, intimate partner violence, and/or systemic racism. Offers trauma-informed, culturally safe and responsive support with basic needs, access to services, assistance with reaching self-identified goals, and connection between acute care facilities and community organizations. Collaboration between Provincial Perinatal Substance Use Program, BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre, and Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).
