Heron's Nest Education Centre for Young Parents

A Vancouver School Board alternate education program in partnership with Emma's Early Learning and Care Centre. Provides a comprehensive education to pregnant and parenting youth up to age 19 within a holistic, mutually supportive learning community; promotes self-empowerment and independence. Students also receive career education with health and child development classes, support groups, and recreational opportunities. Students are accepted any time during the school year. On-site child care for children from six weeks to three years of age is provided at Emma's Early Learning and Care Centre.
