HomeLearners' Network (HLN)

Offers the families of homeschooled children the opportunity to speak to someone about the decision to homeschool, as well as referral to local home learning support groups. Registered learners receive a student ID card that may be useful for obtaining homeschooling discounts from some retailers. It also can be used as photo IDs for those who need it to access student transportation fares or other student tickets. For families using BC ferries to go on education field trips, HLN provides letters requesting discounted fares for learners. Families who register may be eligible to receive a $125/learner reimbursement for purchases of learning resources and services. Registration is free; a registration fee of $50 applies to enroll after September 30.
