Homeless Outreach Program (HOP) - Burnaby

Provided by: BC Housing

Service Description

Funds community-based agencies that connect homeless people age 19 and older to housing, income assistance, and community-based support services. Outreach workers provide support to people without a fixed address by addressing immediate needs such as food, shelter, and clothing. They connect people to housing, income support (including accompaniment to appointments), and support services such as life skills training, health care, counselling, and household and financial management. Workers also act as landlord liaisons. Program is offered in partnership with community agencies; for outreach worker locations and contact information, see website: www.bchousing.org/housing-assistance/homelessness-services/find-homeless-outreach-worker. Serves communities across BC.
