Homeless Prevention Program (HPP) - Burnaby

Provided by: BC Housing

Service Description

Funds community-based agencies that connect homeless people age 19 and older to housing and community-based support services. Programs target individuals at transition points that put them at greater risk of homelessness, and serve individuals of Indigenous descent, women who have experienced violence or are at risk of violence, youth transitioning out of foster care, and individuals leaving the correctional or hospital systems. Programs help participants access rental housing in the private market, through support services such as referrals to housing options, information on other housing subsidies, housing search assistance, and rent supplements. Program is offered in partnership with community agencies; for outreach worker locations and contact information, see website.
