Immigrant Services - English Classes

Provides free Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) for adult newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents or refugees. Offers free childcare for students with children 18 months to five years. Classes are held Monday to Friday at Collingwood Annex, 3690 Vanness Avenue, Vancouver. Placement of new students is determined by testing administered by the Western ESL Services' LINC Assessment and Referral Centre. Also provides Seniors English Class from 10 am to noon Fridays at Collingwood Neighbourhood House. ESL Beginner and Literacy for Women offers basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills needed for everyday life in Canada. A worker will provide support in Cantonese and Mandarin.
