Indigenous Outpatient Addiction Counselling Program (IOAC)

A full-time, culturally-appropriate outpatient program providing mental wellness and substance use programs, and outpatient counselling for the Indigenous population in the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) region. Works with multiple agencies to provide appropriate treatment and access to services across the care continuum. Develops healing and wellness plans which work with individuals' current life circumstances and capabilities. Provides individual, couple, family, and group counselling, as well as workshops on topics such as personal wellness healing plans, healthy relationships, cultural activities, and non-violent communications. Programming is positioned as low barrier and accessible for a wide range of clients. LGBQTQ-friendly. Accepts walk-ins, self-referrals, and organizational referrals. Hours are 8:30 am to 8:30 pm Monday to Friday.
