Information Referral and Advocacy Services for Older Adults

Service Description

Provides information and referral, advocacy, and form completion assistance to adults ages 50 and over. Services include one-to-one support in navigating public systems such as federal and provincial benefits, housing, transportation, finances, legal, income tax, health, and employment. Also makes referrals and provides advocacy regarding community services and health resources. Services offered in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded as a Navigation and Peer Support program by United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program.
