Service Description

Provides referrals and professional counselling to children and youth ages five to 20 across Canada, by telephone, online tools, and live chat. Service is free, anonymous, confidential, and offered in English or French, and can address any concerns or issues facing children and youth including, but not limited to, peer and family relationships, bullying and cyberbullying, substance abuse, sexuality, loneliness, depression, and suicide. Phone counselling service is available in over 100 languages through interpreters including Arabic, Dari, Mandarin, Pashto, Plains Cree, Russian, Severn Ojibwe, and Ukrainian. Phone service and live chat through a web browser or the Always There app is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Crisis Text Line service is provided 24/7 by trained volunteer crisis responders; text CONNECT to 686868 to get started or text FIRST NATIONS, INUIT, or METIS to connect with an Indigenous responder. The Text Line is also available through Facebook Messenger.
