Kwayatsut Supportive Housing Program

Service Description

Provides supportive housing to 73 low-income adults who face multiple barriers and are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Tenant support workers assist tenants to live independently with life skills training and support they need to become active and integrated members of their community. Supportive housing is a blended model of rental units that have a care component within the building. Programming offers an Aboriginal perspective that addresses life skills, and social programming designed to foster a sense of purpose and community. Referral is through the BC Housing's Supportive Housing Registry. Also provides housing to 30 low-income youth; youth services are administered by the Broadway Youth Resource Centre (see independent listing for more information). A partnership program with Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS).
