Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) - Surrey

Provides free English classes for adult newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents or refugees. Helps with all communication needs, but focuses on topics such as Canadian laws, health care, society, job market, and many topics that are important for life in Canada. Provides free childminding for students. Placement of new students is determined by testing administered by the Surrey Language Assessment Centre. Classes are blended with in-person and remote learning. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
