Provides free English classes for adult immigrants and refugees to help them gain the language and knowledge to start their new lives and settle in Canada. Must be ages 17 or older. and a permanent resident, approved for permanent residence, or have confirmation of convention refugee status. Offers English classes for Canadian Language Benchmarks level 1 to 4 that incorporate English learning with topics such as housing, banking, and Canada's political system and laws, as well as communication in real life and Canadian culture. Classes are offered in person and online. Placement of new students is determined by testing, administered by Vancouver Language Assessment and Referral Centre. This location also offers a licensed preschool for LINC students with children from 30 months to five years of age. Fee for service English language classes also available. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
