LINC Assessment and Referral Centre - Squamish

Access point for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), free basic and intermediate English language instruction for adult newcomers. Assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level using Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) and gives a referral to an appropriate LINC school. Must be 17 years of age or older, be approved for permanent residence, and have a Canadian status document. Provincial funding allows select Naturalized Canadian Citizens and Temporary Foreign Workers to be assessed. Serves Sea-to-Sky and Sunshine Coast regions; mobile assessment services are available in Gibsons, Pemberton, Sechelt, and Whistler. Powell River is served via remote assessment.
