Service Description

Offers health care services to refugees, refugee claimants, and immigrants, including mandatory health services. Services include medical pre-screening and post-arrival health assessment, immunizations, primary care, specialist referrals, hospital referrals, dental care referrals, and laboratory tests. Also provides non-medical support to refugees and immigrants such as housing search assistance, English class registration, connecting with local agencies and government offices, help using transportation, help finding food and other basic needs, and general orientation and referrals. No appointment required. Clients must be approved under the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP). Service is available in Arabic, Farsi, French, Hindi, Italian, Punjabi, and Spanish. Translation service is available in almost 100 languages. Serves Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Richmond, and Vancouver. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday on some weeks. Funded by the Interim Federal Health Program.
