Maxxine Wright Second Stage for Women

Serves women who are pregnant or have a newborn and need a safe place to stay. Offers 24 units of supported affordable housing to women and their young children. Women who are pregnant or who have a youngest child under age two (older siblings are welcome) are given priority. The Second Stage program has two full-time staff, and works closely with the other Maxxine Wright Place programs to provide services. Works closely with the Maxxine Wright Community Health Centre to offer informal groups on infant development, parenting, feeding, attachment, and other topics. Accepts women who are using substances and/or involved with Ministry of Children and Family Development. Cannot accommodate pets. Wheelchair accessible.
