Service Description

75-bed centre provides assessment and treatment for people dealing with mental health issues or substance use. Outpatient services include a mood disorders clinic to support individuals with anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder; a reproductive psychiatry clinic for women and their families who need support with mental health concerns related to pregnancy or post-partum; an adolescent psychiatry clinic for youth ages 13 to 17 diagnosed with mood disorders or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); an addictions medicine and substance use clinic; a psychiatric urgent referral clinic for individuals who need assessment but do not need to be admitted to hospital; a group therapy clinic to provide support and education for patients; a neuropsychology clinic for people needing specialized cognitive testing and assessment; and an electroconvulsive therapy clinic. Referral required from Royal Columbian Hospital or a mental health and substance use centre.
