Mental Health Recovery Partners - Central Vancouver Island

Provides free support and education programs to individuals and their families who are dealing with schizophrenia or a related psychiatric disorder, such as bipolar disorder, or major depression. Provides information and referral, and community mental health education presentations. Family-to-Family Education Program is an 8-week course for families and friends of people with mental illness to learn about treatment, coping skills, crisis intervention, and recovery; offered twice yearly. Family support group meetings are offered twice a month. Serves Nanaimo and surrounding areas.
