Mental Health Recovery Partners - North Vancouver Island

Service Description

Provides free support and education programs to individuals and their families who are dealing with schizophrenia or a related psychiatric disorder, such as bipolar disorder, or major depression. Provides advocacy, information and referral, and peer support groups for people experiencing mental illness. Family and Friends Mental Health Support Group is a drop-in group for family and friends of those living with a mental illness. Meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the third Tuesday of every month. Strengthening Families Together is a 10-week course for families and friends of people with mental illness to learn about treatment, coping skills, crisis intervention, and recovery; offered several times per year. Also offers a free lending library of books, brochures, and videos. Online calendar provides information about training, in-person and online support and support groups, and other local events. Serves Campbell River and North Island. Hours are 1 pm to 5 pm Tuesdays, and 10 am to 2 pm Fridays.
