The registry compiles and maintains a database of Metis citizens in BC and serves as the official political representative of Metis people in BC, as recognized by provincial and federal governments. Eligibility is based on self-identification, ancestral connection to the historic Metis community, and acceptance by the contemporary Metis community. Applications can be completed online at metishub.ca or offline. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
