Service Description

Connects families with Métis children ages 13 to 18 to community, culture, and opportunities to access relevant programs and services that support healthy transitions to post-secondary education, skills training, and the workforce.?Secondary Years Navigators help Métis learners and their families in the final years of the K-12 education system up to graduation by providing information and referral support to ensure Métis children and youth and their families are connected to culture, virtual events and education supports. The program provides opportunities for families and children to learn more about Métis identity and the Métis Nation; to be up to date on what secondary years services are available and how to access them; to be aware of services offered to MNBC citizens; to be connected to other Métis families; to have support for children in a healthy transition into adulthood and the workforce; and to have opportunities to attend Métis family gatherings.
