Mobile Integrated Crisis Responce (MICR) - Abbotsford

A mobile crisis response unit (composed of a police officer and a health care professional) which responds to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. A police officer must attend first before referring to MICR. Used by health care professionals and police officers who refer to the team to provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals to mental health and/or victim services. Serves residents of Abbotsford. Service is provided in English; other languages may be available depending on staffing. Interpretation services are available for free. Partnership program between Fraser Health and Abbotsford Police Department (APD). Hours are 10 am to 10 pm daily. Funded by Ministry of Mental Health.
