Mobile Integrated Crisis Responce (MICR) - Coquitlam

Service Description

A mobile crisis response unit (composed of a police officer and a health care professional) which responds to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Also provides assistance to RCMP officers dealing with situations involving domestic violence. A police officer must attend first before referring to MICR. Used by health care professionals and police officers who refer to the team to provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals to mental health and/or victim services. Serves residents of Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. Service is provided in English; other languages may be available depending on staffing. Interpretation services are available for free. Partnership program between Fraser Health and Coquitlam RCMP. Hours are 10 am to 10 pm daily. Funded by Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions.
