Mobile Street Outreach

Mobile drop-in centre and outreach service that provides advocacy and support to youth who are exploring or involved in at-risk behaviours. Assists youth in strengthening their connection to the community, building relationships, and making positive choices by assessing their needs, and offering one-one-one support, early crisis intervention, drug education, sexual health information, basic needs, and referrals. A team of adult youth workers, peer mentors, and volunteers travel after hours to where youth congregate (such as parks, convenience stores, skate board parks, and schools); focus is on building relationships with youth first before dealing with issues. After-hours services are available from 7 pm to 12 am Fridays and Saturdays. Office hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
