Service Description

Provides a collaborative, case management service approach that serves immigrants and refugees (protected persons and convention refugees) who face multiple barriers in their process of settlement. This program offers outreach and in-home consultations in order to reach and support isolated newcomer populations. Provides needs assessment, a wrap around support plan, individual case management, social and emotional support, settlement information, life skills, and supported access to services. Applicants take part in an eligibility assessment process. Eligibility includes those immigrant and refugees that lack Canadian life experience or knowledge, meet specific immigration status requirements, experience complex life situations, and have survived hardships and difficulties. Serves clients in Metro Vancouver that speak Dari, English, Farsi, French, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, and Swahili. Offered in partnership with MOSAIC. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
