Service Description

Provides individualized support to vulnerable immigrants and refugees (protected persons and convention refugees) with multiple needs (such as health, housing, and financial) and significant integration barriers (such as language, education, and life skills). Utilizes an integrated, holistic, and client-centred case management approach. Helps clients develop skills that allow them to participate in regular settlement or community services and programs. Services include an in-home assessment, wraparound support plans, settlement information and counselling, life skills, practical assistance and supported access to services, home outreach, short-term/crisis counselling and wellness support groups. Participants must be a permanent resident, protected person, or an individual selected to become a permanent resident (with a letter required); not open to refugee claimants until their claim is accepted. Serves Surrey and Delta. Services are provided in English as well as in Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Kurdish, Nuba, Pashto, Russian, Somali, and Spanish. Referral accepted from community partners with screening required prior to admission. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
