MPA Housing Programs

Service Description

Provides supported housing units throughout the Lower Mainland for people with serious and persistent mental illness, substance use challenges, or who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Staffing levels and supports range from independent living to enhanced 24-hour support. Supports include life skills training, money management, financial subsidies, social and peer support, vocational training/access to volunteer programs, recreation, health and fitness, legal services, referrals for mental health and addictions treatment and information, illness and symptom management, medication information and support, and active participation and ongoing evaluation of a recovery plan. Also provides transitional care beds for patients in Vancouver who have been discharged from hospital and don't have a housing placement. Referrals for Vancouver locations are through Vancouver Coastal Health, and referrals for Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Port Coquitlam and Surrey locations are through Fraser Health.
