Service Description

Twice-weekly day program offers social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to eligible adults living with early to moderate dementia who live alone or with a family caregiver. Activities vary depending on current participants, but include fellowship, fitness, and leisure and social activities that help maintain physical, cognitive, and mental health. Caregivers can enjoy a respite break and activities at the centre. Pre-registration is required. Funded as a Therapeutic Activation Programs for Seniors (TAPS) by the Government of BC through the United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program; offered in collaboration with Lionsview Seniors' Planning Society.
