Nanaimo Local Agent

A lawyer in private practice funded by LABC provides the following services: takes applications for legal representation and refers eligible clients to lawyers; provides liaison between LABC, the community, and the private bar; directs clients to legal information services and community agencies; and provides access to LABC websites and other online legal resources. Office hours are 9 am to 11:30 am and 1 pm to 3:30 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and 1 pm to 3:30 pm Tuesdays; and 9 am to 11:30 am at the Nanaimo Courthouse (35 Front Street) for criminal applications only. Also does Aboriginal band outreach in Lake Cowichan, Lyackson/Halalt, Malahat, Penelakut, Qualicum, Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw, and Stz'uminus.
