Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program

Service Description

Facilitates free group sessions for parents of children up to age five, especially parents who are young, single, socially or geographically isolated, or have low income or limited formal education. Meets two hours per week for six weeks. Provides a safe place for parents to build on their parenting skills, an opportunity to learn new skills and concepts, and a place to interact with other parents who have young children. Aims to improve parents' self-esteem and coping skills, increase self-help and mutual support, connect parents with community services and resources, and prevent family violence. Child care and transportation assistance are provided. Funded by Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and coordinated by BC Council for Families.
