Service Description

Works with key partners to promote the full inclusion and participation of Canadians with disabilities in all aspects of society and community life; strives to provide leadership and foster excellence for the Government of Canada in this area. The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) helps Canadians with disabilities and their families save for the future. The Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities helps people with disabilities prepare for, obtain and maintain employment or self-employment. The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) provides Disability Benefits to CPP contributors who are under 65 and unable to work because of a severe and prolonged disability. The Enabling Accessibility Fund supports community-based projects across Canada that improve accessibility, remove barriers, and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities and the economy. The Social Development Partnerships Program - Disability Component supports not-for-profit organizations across Canada in tackling barriers faced by people with disabilities with respect to social inclusion.
