Investigates and determines the circumstances of all unnatural, sudden and unexpected, unexplained, or unattended deaths, and makes recommendations to improve public safety and prevent death in similar circumstances. Ensures that death investigations undertaken by regional coroners are impartial and objective. Serves the entire province as the headquarters for the BC Coroners Service; regional offices listed separately.​
