Office of the Seniors Advocate

Monitors and reviews system-wide issues affecting the well-being of seniors and raises awareness about resources available to them. Also makes recommendations to government and others who deliver seniors' services related to health care, personal care, housing, transportation, and income support. Focus is on systemic issues and challenges that affect a large number of seniors. Website has a 'Residential Care Quick Facts Directory' that lists information for publicly subsidized residential care facilities in BC. Translation services are available. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
