Office of the Workers' Advocate

Advocates for injured workers in regards to their Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board (YWCHSB) claims. A Worker's Advocate provides assistance preparing and presenting appeals, and may represent clients before an adjudicator, a hearing officer, or an appeal committee. Advises injured workers and the dependents of deceased workers on entitlement under the legislation and policy; the interpretation of YWCHSB decisions; determining whether an appeal is warranted; and providing information on workers' rights and responsibilities.
